• Join Groups: Associating with others in your industry can help build your credibility. Comment in group discussions and share unique information from your blog. This gets your name recognized in industry forums while setting yourself apart from any competitors.

• Share Updates: This is the perfect opportunity to blow your own horn. Write short pieces or comment on current industry trends on a regular basis so your name and business will constantly be top-of-mind with those in your groups. This also increases your rankings in search results because your profile will be dynamic and fresh.

• See Who Has Viewed Your Profile: If people have viewed your profile think of a way of contacting them to offer your services. Learn about them from their LinkedIn profile and send a message outlining how what your company does might be of benefit to them.

• Upload a File: If you have a sales presentation or PowerPoint which can provide a useful explanation of your services, be sure to add it to your LinkedIn summary. You can also do this under the experience section to further highlight any of your previous job positions.
